# Connect GitHub issues and pull requests to Edworking tasks

The native GitHub integration connects development work with Edworking tasks. It is available on all plans.

## Connect the repositories you need

1. Open the GitHub integration from Edworking's integration settings.
2. Follow the installation flow for the **Edworking GitHub App**.
3. Select the GitHub account or organisation and the repositories you intend to connect. You need permission to install the app for those repositories.
4. Return to Edworking and review the integration configuration.
5. Choose the default space where tasks created from GitHub issues should appear.

Limit the installation to the repositories required for your team's workflow.

## Keep development work connected

The integration supports creating Edworking tasks from GitHub issues and showing pull-request status on linked tasks. It can also link work automatically using an Edworking task ID.

Use the task-ID format and placement described by the integration's current instructions. After connecting an issue or pull request, open the Edworking task and verify that the correct repository item is linked.

Keep the task's owner, deadline and discussion in Edworking while using the repository for development activity. A linked pull request should not be treated as proof that every task requirement has been completed.

## Reconfigure or disconnect

Use the integration controls to review the installation, selected repositories and default destination. Reconfigure or disconnect when your team's needs change.

If an item does not appear, check repository access, installation coverage, the destination space and the task ID used for linking. Confirm the connection with one item before expanding the workflow.
