Learn Task Management with Edworking - Organize Your Work Efficiently

Use tasks to turn a project into clear pieces of work. Each task can hold its description, owners, deadline, subtasks, files and discussion.

Create your first task

  1. Open Tasks and select the space for your project.
  2. Choose New Task, or use Quick Task in the board to capture a title quickly.
  3. Give the task an action-focused name, such as “Review the launch brief”.
  4. Open the task and add its owner, due date, priority and description. Explain what finished work should look like.
  5. Add relevant files and use the task's chat to keep questions beside the work.

Organise and complete work

Use a list to group work, such as a sprint or milestone. A task's state describes its progress, such as Backlog, In progress or Completed. They serve different purposes.

Switch between Board and List views and use Display to adjust filters, grouping and sorting. Move a task between state columns or change its state inside the task. When it is finished, use Mark as complete or the available completion control.

Use Subtasks for separately tracked pieces of work. A checklist in the description is useful for simple checks, but does not create independently assigned subtasks.

If a task seems to be missing

Check the selected space or list, clear filters and include completed tasks. Confirm that you have access to the space.
