Use the contextual AI bar while you work
The contextual AI bar lets you ask for help from the page you are using. Its suggestions and available actions adapt to the current area and your workspace's AI access.
Ask a question in context
- Open the relevant task, document, board or settings page.
- Find the AI bar and review its suggested prompts or context.
- Enter a focused request, such as “Summarise this board's open work” or “Explain this setting”.
- Read the answer and check its source information before acting.
- Open the conversation in the side panel if you need more room.

Previous AI conversations can be reopened from the bar. Make sure a previous conversation still has the context needed for your new request.
Work with selected document text
Select the passage you want help with and focus the request on that text. For example: “Make this paragraph clearer for a new teammate. Preserve the dates and responsibilities.” Review the result before replacing content.
Get better results
Name the desired output, audience and limits. Ask for source references when checking project facts. Start with a summary or explanation before asking for changes to shared work.
AI may have incomplete context or make mistakes. If an answer seems unrelated, check the selected space or page, explain the scope and open the underlying task or document yourself.
If the bar or action is unavailable
Check the current page, permissions, plan and AI usage allowance. Different contexts offer different actions; a suggestion on a settings page does not mean the same operation is available everywhere.
