Managing Documentation in Edworking
Create project briefs, instructions and meeting notes in Docs, then organise them in the spaces and folders where your team works.
Create and format a Doc
- Open Docs, select a space and choose New Doc from the creation menu.
- Add a title and start writing. Changes save automatically; allow saving to finish before closing the page.
- On an empty line, type / or open the + menu to insert headings, lists, tables, quotes or media blocks.
- Select existing text to use the formatting toolbar.
- Open the same document with authorised teammates to edit together.
Organise and find documents
Use the Docs search field to find a title and Display to change the available view, filters or sorting. Create folders for related documents. The document menu provides actions such as rename, duplicate, move to folder, move to space and export.
Choose the destination carefully when moving a document: its space determines the surrounding project context and access.
Use AI writing
Where your plan includes AI writing, select text and choose Ask AI to rewrite, summarise, translate or change its tone. You can also ask for a draft from the editor's AI entry point.
Explain the audience and desired result, then review the suggestion before inserting or replacing text. Check names, dates and factual claims against the source.
Import, restore and share
- Import Doc converts supported Word .docx content into an editable Doc. Review formatting and any skipped content afterwards.
- On Business, the history control lets you preview saved versions and restore an earlier version of the editor content.
- Export downloads the document in a format offered by the menu.
- An internal document URL requires the appropriate access. Use the separate public-sharing controls if the document should be accessible externally, and review what the link exposes.
Troubleshooting
If creation or import is unavailable, check your space permissions and workspace document limit. If an edit is missing, check saving and connectivity before refreshing; version history requires earlier saved versions to exist.
